EVENTS// ATTACK OF THE SPACE WAFFLES

We finally made it down to The Outsiders Gallery in Central London for Invaders ‘Attack Of The Space Waffles’ exhibition.

Lots of stuff on display upstairs – The waffle maker is a fantastic piece of art/engineering and the sticker dispenser certainly appealed to the little kid in us (we grabbed a few…) The mosiac pieces on the ground floor were a lovely selection of styles, colours and sizes, it’s great seeing them all in one place like that! A few of the shows releases were also on display (we still like ‘The Scream’ piece)

Downstairs was dominated by the Invader disco ball which was alright but we would’ve liked to have seen more mosaic pieces on display if we had the choice. The snugs short Invader movie (an extended version of the ‘1000 edit’ we posted a few months ago) is fantastic, it is always nice to see Invader at work. Maybe someone at Outsiders will post the whole thing soon?

So all in all a great time in London, hopefully Invader won’t leave it so long next time!

NEWS// SPACE WAFFLES AVAILABLE SOON ONLINE

The Space Waffles which are available at the Outsiders show will also be sold online from 12th December.

100 vaccum packed waffles, framed in perspex will be up for grabs. The price? £300.

AGAIN lots of debate here about these pieces – overall we think they’re pretty fun.

As we mentioned a few days back Invader put some new pieces up in London to coincide with the opening of his Outsiders show. We like the look of this one just outside Lazarides on Rathbone Place! Hopefully it will last!

NEWS// POW PRINT RELEASE DATE

Pictures on Walls release their new Invader print on December 16th.

‘Warning Invader’ (Left) is a signed three colour screen print and will set you back £250. With a run of  just 125 you’d better be on the ball (especially as The Outsider prints disappeared almost instantly!)

The print has opinion split here – some like this simple design after the more artistic Outsiders prints, some think it’s a bit…..grey. Either way we are looking forward to another end of the year print! Now all we need is a new Space Invader Kit….

NEWS// New Outsiders/Invader Release

The Outsiders Gallery tweeted news that an invader piece will be  released sometime from 1st – 12th December as part of their ’12 Days of Christmas’. At this time it’s not clear which of the days Invaders piece will be released, how much it will cost or if it will be a print or kit but we’ll let you know once we have more info. A few images went up on their site recently for the Invader show they are hosting in December – so maybe it is one of those?
