Quite a bit has gone down since the last time we updated Invaderblog (sorry about that!). So we’re on the catch up!
First off, a few weeks ago, Invader placed this cool Picasso piece in Paris. It’s in a similar vein to the ‘Scream’ piece that went up earlier in the summer. Apparently, this is one of four new pieces that went up that night.

As we mentioned last week – Space Invader has been hitting Tokyo hard with a load of fresh new pieces going up in the Japanese capital. There are some really great pieces cropping up, including original Invaders and tiled versions of Japanese cult icons like Astroboy, Doraemon, Hello Kitty and Grendizer. It’s also been reported by Invader himself that a mini Mona Lisa piece has already disappeared, we’re hoping that’s not a sign of things to come.

New pieces seem to be going up in Paris on a monthly basis at the moment. This new piece was first seen on the Space Invaders Instagram account a fortnight ago.

Space Invader has been busy on the streets of Paris, placing a few new pieces in the French capital. The new additions to the ‘PA’ series are a real mixture of styles; the traditional looking PA-1096 first appeared on Invaders Instagram a few weeks ago, the huge PA-1096 has been distracting drivers on the Parisian highway since last week and the ‘Mona Lisa’ inspired PA-1097 (which is equally massive and brilliant) can be seen outside The Louvre-Rivoli Metro Station. Variety is the spice of life!

Hot on the heels of the PA_1088 – FLAPPY BIRD, Invader has placed another two new pieces in Paris. The first is the polar bear from NES classic Ice Climber and the second is another Flappy Bird. Thanks to Alex (Streetart_art77) for hooking us up with more great photos.

Flappy Bird is the latest computer game character to feature in a Space Invader street piece. PA_1088 first appeared on Invaderwashere in February and it looks like the piece was placed on the streets of Paris shortly after.
